Project and Operations Manager

We are looking for a Project/Operations Manager who possesses exceptional organizational and operational skills, exhibit strong judgment, be adaptable to a variety of tasks, show resourcefulness and initiative, work diligently, responsive, and demonstrate excellent communication skills and social savvy.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain a list of ongoing projects related to administration and technology development, conduct frequent follow-ups with employees to ensure they are progressing and report updates to stakeholders;
- Structure the procedure by department, implement optimized processes, documentation, and ensure that it is working properly;
- Track expenses by project and department;
- Define and analyze projects;
- Identify problems and optimize procedures;
- Selecting initiatives related to third party agreements, managing implementation, managing expenses, managing renewals, frequent review of projects, being the point of contact;
- Monitor the implementation of mandatory legal projects e.g. (Francization, Bill 25);
- Ensure that the team maintains a high level of rigor to achieve development and set goals;
- Organize meetings and follow up with team leaders on a weekly basis. Ensure good communication and teamwork;
- Validate employee performance and follow up with HR to ensure action is taken; and
- Gather, analyze, interpret and communicate data to optimize digital product development, business decisions and customer experience;
- You understand cybersecurity threats, regulations, and best practices and are always prepared to implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect digital products, data, and infrastructure; and
- Strong expertise in application programming interface (API) integration to enable seamless data exchange and interoperability between software systems, platforms and stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Bringing to The Team:
- Project Management: ability to plan, execute and complete complex projects within scope, time and budget constraints;
- Understanding of the fintech industry: knowledge of financial technology products, services and trends, including regulations, security and risk management;
- Agile/Scrum methodologies: ability to work in an iterative, incremental and flexible environment using agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban;
- Finance, technology, legal and administration skills;
- Operational skills in call center, service desk;
- Technical skills: understanding of software development lifecycle, digital product development, UX/UI design, coding and data analysis;
- Communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, customers and management in verbal and written form;
- Leadership skills: ability to motivate, inspire and lead teams through goal setting, conflict management, mentoring and coaching;
- Strategic Thinking: ability to align digital product development with business goals, market needs, user experience and the competitive landscape, while remaining agile and adaptable to change;
- As we provide the majority of our services in 7 provinces in Canada, the candidate must be able to communicate effectively in English to fulfill their duties.
